This research is vital in helping to prevent the thousands of strokes that occur each year."

Contestants who made it into the final had to organize fund raising events. Kelly taught cheer leading to young children and held a Nations Night at the University of Leicester. She said, “The Nations Night was a lot of fun, it involved everyone dressing up in their national dress and just having fun.

“In the past year we have collected over 1,000 tonnes of hard waste from around our charity bins”.

"While we are always grateful for donations to help fund our programs and services, it costs us around half a million dollars each year to pick up dumped and unusable goods and take it to landfill. This is unacceptable and we are now diverting some of this waste to be recycled.”

“Our Charity Waste Recovery Centre will divert over 5,000 tonnes of waste from landfill over the next three years”.
